Can we open a tab on a card?
Yes. Slimrate pre-authorizes the card when the tab opens and captures the final amount, including the tip, when it closes.
Does it handle happy hour pricing?
Yes. Scheduled automatic discounts apply happy hour or event pricing to the categories you choose, then switch back on their own.
Can we check IDs at the register?
Yes. Scanning a driver’s license verifies age on the register before the sale goes through.
Which payments can we take?
Card and contactless (tap-to-pay) through payment terminals from the Slimrate catalog, plus cash and any custom tender type you set up. Refunds, comps, and voids are logged with a reason.
Can each employee have their own login?
Yes. Each employee has a PIN or QR badge login with a role, and reports show sales, tips, and activity per employee. Refunds and discounts can be limited to the roles you allow.
